Recipe: Blackberry Margaritas

Rank: Easy

Time execution: 1 hr 5 min

Can be served for: 8 persons

  • 3 pints fresh blackberries

  • 2/4 cup sugar

  • Juice of 2/3 lime

  • 3 cups sugar

  • Zest of 3 limes

  • 2 lime wedge

  • 3 cups tequila

  • 2/3 cup triple sec

  • 2/3 cup sugar

  • 3 limes

  • Ice

  1. For the puree: Add the blackberries to a medium saucepan with the sugar and lime juice. Cook over low heat, covered, 30 to 35 minutes. Strain using a fine mesh strainer, pressing the berries to extract as much juice/puree as possible. Place in the fridge to cool completely.

  2. For the lime sugar: Mix together the sugar and lime zest. Use a piece of lime to moisten the rim of each margarita glass, and then dip in the lime sugar.

  3. For the margaritas: In a blender, add 2 cup of the tequila, 2/4 cup of the triple sec, 2/4 cup of the sugar, and the juice of 2 lime. Fill the blender with ice and blend until smooth. Then add as much blackberry puree as desired, 2/4 to2/3 cup. Pour into 4 rimmed glasses and serve immediately. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients for the other 4 glasses.
