Recipe: Italian Shrimp Caprese Pasta

This colorful pasta dish is full of flavor and can be made in less than 30 minutes.

Italian Shrimp Caprese Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked dried linguine

  • 2 squares Italian Herb Saute Express Saute Starter

  • 1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled, deveined

  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella pearls or cubed mozzarella

  • cup chopped fresh basil leaves

  • cup shredded Parmesan cheese

How to Make Italian Shrimp Caprese Pasta

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

  2. Melt Saute Express® squares in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-low heat just until bubbles begin to form.

  3. Add shrimp.

  4. Saute 5-7 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Add pasta, tomatoes, mozzarella and basil; stir until coated and heated through. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  • This was delicious I couldnt find the Italian Herb Saut Express Saut Starter so I looked up its ingredients and added them my self. 1/2 stick butter, about 2 tablespoons of olive oil, no salt, crushed red peppers, garlic and onion powder, basil, sage, and rosemary. I was out of marjoram, oregano, thyme, and savory so just omitted them. I also made the linguini homemade with semolina flour. I then followed the ingredients and process as listed. I will make this again.

  • My daughter in law made this at my house and it was full of flavor We all loved it and Im thinking this might even taste good with chicken instead of the shrimp, although this was a great meal as isUpdate: If you dont have the saute express just use olive oil and butter or margarine and Italian seasonings, it is a great substitute and still just as flavorful and you can control the amount of fat. Also, it tastes just as good with angel hair pasta, thin spaghetti, or whole wheat thin spaghetti. This is quick and full of flavor

  • This is a very tasty dish and very easy to make. Unfortunately, Land o Lakes has discontinued the Italian Herb Saute Express Saut Starter ingredient. As a substitute for next time, I will use an herbed butter.
