Bitter Lemon Soda Reviews

  • The lavendar came a day later and I added a touch. Its very good. Ill continue to experiment with it. Its much better than regular G&T S BUT NOT QUITE THE BITTER LEMON EXPERIENCE YET.

  • I ended up using mint instead of lavender, and it turned out tartly refreshing Ill definitely make it again (or at least use the syrup as a base for some lemonade).

  • As a sweet lemon soda, sure. But theres literally nothing bitter in this recipe, so its badly misnamed.

  • This is by no means a BITTER. This is simply a mislabelled recipe for Italian lemonade. It needs quinineTwo ways to go about it - instead of water and sugar pour quality tonic water, Schweppes, White Rock, Canada dry, or the more upscale Qtonic or Fever tree. Measure out the sugar proportionately based on tonic water sugar content. You can also buy tonic concentrate and add sparkling water of your choice, in my case Perrier. You can also go with non-carbonated water if you prefer non-sparkling.

  • Rave reviews whenever I serve this to family and friends. I am growing lavender this year and cant wait to add it to my favorite warm weather beverage.
