Recipe: Baked Acorn Squash

Ingredients

  • 3 acorn squash, split in half

  • Water

  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar

  • 6 tablespoons butter

  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place squash, flesh side down in a baking dish and fill with 2/3-inch of water. Bake for one hour or until tender. Scoop out squash flesh to a bowl. Mash squash with butter, sugar and salt and pepper. Serve with extra butter.
